Types of antique Biedermeier tables:

The large dining table:
A fundamental point of encounter in every Biedermeier household.

The extending dining table:
Rare and therefore harder to find today.

The center table:
With a hinged top on a central column that tilted at right angle

The game table:
Usually could be closed and turned into consoles.

The library table:
Rectangular or oval writing desk, often with a central drawer.

The occasional table:
Wmaller than the center table and writing desk, but nearly always round or oval destined exclusively for receiving guests and friends.

The work table:
Round, oval, square, rectangular, hexagonal or octagonal with small drawers, compartments and sewing aids for women.
